A private journey isn't a package with your name on it. It starts with a conversation about how you actually like to travel, and everything after that is decided from there: where you go, how long you stay, what's scheduled and what deliberately isn't.
Fill in the planning form — where you're thinking, roughly when, who's coming and what matters most. It takes about three minutes and there's no wrong answer, including "somewhere warm."
We'll reply personally within one business day and find a time to talk properly. This is where the useful detail comes out: how you travel, what you've loved before, what you'd rather never do again.
A written proposal, built for you: the route, the properties, which rooms to ask for, and what each day could look like. Then two rounds of refinement until it's right. Most journeys are settled after one.
We book, confirm and document everything, then hand you a single itinerary with every reservation, transfer and contact in one place. No chasing suppliers, no forwarded confirmation emails.
We're reachable through the working day for anything that needs sorting, and there's an emergency line outside it. A missed connection or a room that isn't what was promised is our problem, not yours.
Everything here is booked, confirmed and documented by us, and appears on a single invoice.
Arranging these is part of the service, not a line item. You'll pay on the day, as you would anyway.
No. Not every trip needs the same amount of help — some people want the whole thing taken off their hands, others just want to be pointed in the right direction by someone who knows.
The journey, handled end to end.
A planning fee begins the work and is credited toward your journey. The balance is based on the trip, and we'll walk you through it on our first call.
We design it. You book it.
A flat planning fee, nothing else. Ideal if you like booking your own travel but would rather not start from a blank page.
A planning fee begins the work, and it's credited toward your journey if you travel with us. Beyond that it depends on the trip: where you're going, how long for, how much of it we're arranging. We'll explain exactly how it works on our first call, before you've committed to anything, and you'll have it in writing before you decide.
Sometimes. It never decides what we recommend. If a property is right for you we'll say so whether it pays us or not. And if it does, we'll tell you.
It depends entirely on the trip. Villas in high season, safari camps and expedition ships are often a year out, and the best of them longer. Most journeys are comfortable at three to six months. If you're working with less time than that, ask anyway. Sometimes it's still possible, and we'd rather tell you honestly than have you not ask.
Case by case. For some journeys it makes sense for us to handle the flights alongside everything else; for others you're better off booking them yourself, particularly if you're using points or have a corporate arrangement. We'll tell you which is true for your trip.
We recommend it on every journey. Rather than talk about it in the abstract, your proposal will include cover appropriate to your trip, so you can decide with the real numbers in front of you: what it protects, what it costs, what it doesn't. If you'd prefer to travel without it, that's entirely your call. We'll simply ask you to confirm that in writing before anything is booked.
That's expected. Your planning fee includes two rounds of refinement, and most journeys are settled after one. If a trip changes shape entirely, a different continent or a different month, we'll talk about it and start again properly.
No. Reservations, introductions and recommendations are part of planning a journey, not a line item. You'll pay the restaurant directly, as you would anyway. If what you need is ongoing help with reservations and personal logistics beyond a trip, that's our private concierge service.
We're reachable through the working day, and there's an emergency line outside it. Everything you need is documented before you leave, so most trips don't need us at all. The ones that do tend to need us quickly.
No. The planning fee scales with the journey, so a smaller trip costs less to plan. What matters more than budget is whether it's the kind of trip we can genuinely make better.
Then say so on the form. Some clients want a trip designed from nothing; others know the hotel and the dates and want someone to handle the booking, the upgrades and the reservations. Both are fine, and they're priced differently.
Tell us where you're dreaming of going. We'll take it from there.
